CASA of Madison County
Volunteer Gallery

CASA depends on caring community volunteers to provide services free of charge. In 2008-2009, CASA volunteers worked long hours to make CASA clients safer in their homes. Among the many tasks these dedicated volunteers performed, some include working on ramps, installing grab bars, delivering food boxes, and driving clients to the doctor. We couldn’t do it without our wonderful volunteers!
Here are some of the impressive numbers CASA volunteers accrued over this past year:
- Built 86 ramps
- Repaired 60 ramps
- Painted 80 ramps
- Installed 293 grab bars and handrails
- Weatherized 134 homes
- Distributed 64 air conditioners
- Distributed 101 fans
- Distributed 105 heaters
- Delivered 808 food boxes
- Delivered 1,116 holiday gifts
- Made 1,319 trips to medical appointments
- Spent over 800 hours providing friendly visiting and telephone reassurance
- Harvested and delivered 3,229 pounds of vegetables from the CASA Community Garden
